 Dr. Christopher Walls received his Doctorate degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1997. In that same year he began his practice in his hometown of Batesville where he remained there until 2003. Dr. Walls then opened a practice in Grenada where he provided the community with eyecare. In 2023, Dr. Walls expanded his practice by opening our location in Batesville. In his spare time Dr. Walls enjoys farming, cutting horses, civil war reenacting, and sporting events.

Christina has been married to Dr. Walls for 23 years. Together they have two sons, Nate & Caleb. Christina serves as the optician in our Batesville clinic. She enjoys helping patients find the perfect eyeglass frame. In her spare time Christina enjoys spending time with her family, reading, working out, and traveling.

Karen began her career in the healthcare field working in pharmacy, where she gained extensive knowledge about medications, patient care, and the importance of accuracy and attention to detail. During her years in pharmacy, she developed a strong foundation in helping patients understand their treatment plans and making them feel comfortable and cared for.

Now, as an optometric technician, Karen brings that same dedication and expertise to the world of eye care. She assists our doctors in providing seamless patient experiences, from gathering case histories to running diagnostic testing and supporting clinical procedures. Her medical knowledge and calm, caring personality ensure that each patient feels at ease and confident in their care.

Karen’s transition from pharmacy to optometry reflects her passion for learning and her commitment to patient health. She enjoys building relationships with patients and being part of a team that helps people see—and live—better every day.

Nathan is the oldest son of Dr. Walls and Christina. He graduated South Panola High School in 2020. Nathan graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies before pursuing his passion for eye care. He is currently a second-year student at the Southern College of Optometry, where he serves as the AOSA Trustee Elect. In this role, Nathan is dedicated to advocating for the profession of optometry and representing Southern College of Optometry on a national level. He is passionate about advancing the field, supporting his peers, and helping to shape the future of eye care

Katie Coker is the newest member of our team, bringing enthusiasm and compassion to her role. She graduated from North Delta in 2025 and has a strong commitment to serving others. Katie is passionate about providing quality care and making every patient feel comfortable and valued. Her dedication to building meaningful connections and ensuring patients’ needs are met makes her a valuable addition to our team

Caleb is the youngest son of Dr. Walls and Christina. He is the University of Mississippi. After graduating he plans on continuing his education in optometry. Caleb enjoys playing golf, riding horses, spending time with his friends, and watching the Ole Miss Rebels.

Loran Lane is a highly skilled optician who plays an important role in our clinic. With a strong background in optical care, she is dedicated to helping patients find the perfect eyewear to meet both their vision needs and personal style. Loran is experienced in lens fitting, frame selection, and patient education, ensuring that every individual receives tailored care and leaves with confidence in their vision. Her attention to detail and commitment to patient satisfaction make her an invaluable part of our team.

Lena Tatum is our outgoing and friendly front desk coordinator who warmly welcomes every patient to the clinic. With many years of experience in the field, she brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to her role. Lena is dedicated to making each visit smooth and enjoyable, ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk in the door. Her warm personality and long-standing expertise make her an essential part of our team.
